The Michael Kors Spring Summer 2015 Collection featured flattering floral prints and bare midriffs. Sailor stripes, some solids in beige and yellow, and bright whites with attention to detail on exquisite floral patterns, also made appearances in cropped shirts, elegant pantsuits, and stunning sundresses of every length. Ready to Wear fabrics included linen, gingham, and thin summer wool. Peter Pan collars, plunging necklines, and wide collars on button and zipper down styles were in sharp contrast to some of the simple rounded necklines of the tops and the more casual of the sundresses.
The Spring Summer line was complimented well with neutral sandals that had various strap designs. Elegant and comfortable footwear made styles suitable for all day wear. A floral sundress, for example, would be perfect for work with a light sweater, look great for a romantic dinner, and take ladies into the night at the garden party. All lengths made clothes flexible and suitable for all body types and all preferences. These styles are stunning designs that will make wearers feel confident and impress those around you.
The Fashion Show background was plain and minimal, as were the models. Barely there makeup, hair loosely placed in a low braid, and no jewelry, let the clothes speak for themselves. Lively instrumental music accompanied models on the catwalk, which was set-up in a narrow “U” shape that gave many people a close look. There were essentially four front rows as so there was not a blocked view in the house. The pace was perfect, not too slow and not too fast, so people could see styles from every angle.
In a season filled with sporty trends, Michael Kors presented a flair for the feminine. Sleeveless styles and baby doll short sleeves looked cool and comfortable. Peep-hole midriffs on some of the sundresses and back triangle cut outs on others were fun and sexy without being overtly so. Soft yellow and pink flower prints adorned sequined skirts for splashes of color that played well with crisp white blouses. Simple whites with floral outlines looked clean and fresh when paired with nude sandals for a look that was flawless.
