The runway was very plain and so were the models at the Hermes Spring Summer collection. The models wore stern expressions on their faces but very little makeup. Likewise, their hair was just limp and hanging. Meanwhile, the models wore two new shoes that were delightful. One pair was a mule with a skinny high heel. The other was a jazzed up version of the tennis shoe. The show opened with several looks in navy cashmere and white. The only accessories were Hermes bags and an odd looking pendant. The design on the pendant was also used as a bracelet and belt buckle.

The navy cashmere looks were very desirable. Particularly fetching was a navy overcoat worn over a romper. Rompers played a major role in the Hermes Spring Summer 2016 Collection. They were shown in many colors and materials including brown and black leather. Other Fashion Trends include a wide cropped trouser, called a banana trouser. Kimonos remain popular in Ready to Wear collections. There were several shown in flowing red and black materials. Many kimono dresses were short while others were longer. Pleats remain a fixture on the runway this year. The designer showed pleated dresses and skirts with Hermes scarves as pleat inserts. One of the most desired looks was a high-waisted midi navy leather skirt.

Many outfits were shown in a nice mustard color. There were also some to-die for pieces in red. The versatility of a brown buttery-leather was shown in the form of a romper, pants suit and dress. Interestingly, most of the dresses were made in the midi and maxi lengths. There were two spectacular trench coats, one was black leather and the other was calf skin. Many of the clothes in this collection looked like something every woman could wear. Indeed, the dresses and trousers were comfortable looking. A very nice look featured a long, blue silk dress. The dress was A-line on the top but featured lots of pleats on the bottom. Additionally, several outfits were made out of material with an unexpected navy and white block pattern. There was definitely something for everyone in this collection.
